 | Feed My Lambs was the inspiration of Rev. Paul and Shirley Bundschuh of Craig, CO, in the Spring of 1993. They received substantial support and encouragment from the Director and the Executive Secretary for Parish Services for the Rocky Mountain District. In addition, the Rocky Mountain District underwrote those first issues. The response was overwhelming. Between the first Spring issue and following Summer issue, the subscribership grew from 68 families to 454 including families from 42 states, 3 Canadian provinces, plus the Philippines, Nigeria, and West Africa. By the Fall issue, it rose to 715 families, now from all 50 states, 4 Canadian provinces, adding Nigeria and Togo in Africa, Venezuela, Guatemala, Germany and Guam. By this time, Feed My Lambs, could no longer be offered free of charge and the $6.00 subscription rate per year was introduced. The monies went directly to the Rocky Mountain District. Spring of 1994, the one year anniversary, introduced the first computer generated copy of Feed My Lambs. By the Fall of 1994, it began to take on the format that went on to serve us from that day until now. |
